Meet IIT grad Pavan Davuluri, set to take charge at Microsoft as…

Pavan Davuluri will replace Panos Panay as the Corporate Product chief of Microsoft, announces tech giant on Monday.

Tech giant, Microsoft announced on Monday that Pavan Davuluri will succeed Panos Panay as the Corporate Product chief of the company. Davuluri will directly report to Microsoft Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella after the implementation of this change. 

Davuluri was earlier working with the company at the post of Corporate Vice President. 

Pavan Davuluri hails from India and he graduated from the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Madras. After graduation, Davuluri went to the University of Maryland in the US to pursue his Master of Science in 1999. 

Once his education was complete, he worked in various companies and finally joined Microsoft in 2021 as the Corporate Vice President, of Windows Silicon and Systems Integration.  After the promotion, Davuluri will lead a team to build silicon, systems and devices that span Windows, clients and the cloud for an AI world. 

Microsoft has made big bets on generative AI, integrating the technology into a wide array of its products, including cloud, search and productivity software and services such as its Office suite.
